Early on in our marriage, we struggled with infertility. After three years of this battle, we surrendered our desire to start our family biologically as we sensed the Lord asking us if we would be willing to adopt. Shortly thereafter we met with our pastor and he prayed for us in this decision. The next week we found out that we were pregnant.
Only God, could write a story so sweet. Only when we finally allowed God to have a "blank check" with our family, did we see Him meet the desire of our heart. In December of 2008 we had Abigail and then 18 months later we were blessed with Kayleigh, our second little miracle.
Although we are so thankful for our two miracles, God clearly asked us during our struggle with infertility, if we would be willing to adopt, and rescue one of His children. While raising our two miracles have delayed that calling, it has not gone away. After months of asking God to give us clarity about His timing and about where to adopt from, we are walking forward in obedience and adopting a child from China.
We are so blessed to be adopted as God's children and could not imagine life without having Him as our Father.
